About us
Hortus-Flora LLC is a family-run hardscape and landscape company in Charlotte, NC, led by a civil engineer who has been building outdoor spaces since 2015. We install paver patios, driveway extensions, walkways, retaining walls and fire pits, and we fix drainage with French drains, channel drains and yard grading. We also handle sod and artificial turf, planting beds, landscape design, and irrigation repair and sprinkler winterization. Every project is built for Charlotte red clay, with a compacted base and planned drainage so it stays level for years. We work with homeowners in Ballantyne, Piper Glen, Providence Plantation, Matthews, Weddington, Waxhaw and Indian Trail, from the first design conversation to the final walkthrough.

Do you handle both design and installation, or just installation?
Yes — design and installation together, start to finish.
Do you work on sprinkler systems?
Yes, on systems that are already installed: repairs, winterization, spring startup, and updates to older setups. We don't install new irrigation systems.
Is drainage handled separately from a hardscape project?
Usually not — grading and drainage are typically addressed as part of the same project.
Do you work on front yards, back yards, or both?
Both.
Is landscape lighting available as its own project, or only with other work?
We prefer handling a project start to finish, from design through installation — it's how we keep quality consistent. That said, if all you need is the lighting itself, we can take that on as its own project too.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Charlotte and the rest of Mecklenburg County, including South Charlotte neighborhoods such as Ballantyne and Piper Glen, plus Matthews and Pineville. In Union County we work in Weddington, Waxhaw, Indian Trail, and Monroe.
